New on ContemporaryJazz.com Radio

ContemporaryJazz.com Radio plays nu jazz, acid jazz, remixed jazz, jazzy house, dancefloor jazz, and other groove jazz styles. It’s online all the time and is free (with ads) or you can purchase a VIP package for commercial free listening and other benefits.

See the embedded spreadsheet below for the most recent adds to the playlist. The spreadsheet contains the artist, track, album title, and links to how to buy the recording (CD and/or high-quality, DRM-free MP3 download) through Amazon.com. Buying through those links benefits ContemporaryJazz.com. Click here for a full screen version.

Chill Jazz Sessions

Music Brokers has issued a number of compilations that have some of my favorite acid jazz/nu jazz/chill tracks. This is their latest, Chill Jazz Sessions, which has more goodness. Check out some sounds:

ContemporaryJazz.com Radio Fundraiser

On March 27, the amount I pay annually to keep ContemporaryJazz.com Radio will come due. My station is on Live365.com who pays the ASCAP, SESAC, and BMI licensing fees. When I play an artist, they get paid. I’ve been saving credit received through VIP memberships. I’ve saved $50 through that – thanks VIP listeners! However, it isn’t enough. To keep ContemporaryJazz.com Radio going to April 2010, I need to raise another $300.

There are a couple of ways you can contribute:

PayPal. Click the button below to donate any amount you’d like through PayPal. You can use bank information or any major credit card.

Live365.com Gift Certificate. On the Live365 page, choose the last option where you choose the amount. You can contribute anything from $5 to $100. The recipient is me and my email address is john at contemporaryjazz.com.

If there is another method you’d prefer to donate, please email me at john at contemporaryjazz.com.

If you’d drop me a note letting me know that you contributed, I’d appreciate it. You might want to include a mailing address. I’ll send a CD to anyone who contributes $30 or more. I’ve got limited quantities of Rendezvous Lounge 2 (chill/jazz compilation), Explorations – Classic Picante Regrooved (Latin jazz remixed), and Jeff Lorber’s Heard That discs I will give away as a token of my gratitude.

Mushroom Jazz 6 Out Today

It’s very rare that I buy entire recordings these days. After checking out the samples of this latest Mark Farina compilation, I will be buying Mushroom Jazz 6. Twenty tracks for $9.99 and I liked all but five of these acid jazzy/nu jazzy works.
