I just happened across the track “Coltrane’s Brain (The Rebirth)” by Induce. It has my attention. It’s a nu-jazz/acid jazz/whatever jazzy label you want to apply piano/contemporary sound with dialogue about jazz. It’s memorable.

It comes from his album Cycle. Regrettably, a Google search doesn’t provide much more information about the man or the album. The original press release had a broken link at the bottom, which would have pointed to more information. Pop Matters is the only site that wrote a review longer than one paragraph.

I couldn’t find any way to reach the man or his label (which he started himself) so I’m hoping he reaches out to me. I want to be able to give you information about any future jazz-based work and play his music.
